6 yr. old questions
I blog mostly as a journal so anyone that happens to read can skip anything at anytime of course.
Joseph Jr. is growing up! Laying in bed with him he said he had a lot to ask and talk about. Things he’s just been mulling over. All of these he asked with great concern and stress. So glad I took the time to talk to him.
“Mommy I see that the wall is green but what if what I see as green you see as purple!?” I remember thinking this very thing as a kid. Anyone else think these thoughts? I assured him we all see green as green and left it at that. No need to boggle his mind.
“Mommy I know what an egg is but what is the stuff in the egg we eat?” (gingerly explained this as we eat a lot of eggs, went well. Little non-vegetarian self-preserver in fact pointed out we should always save some eggs to grow so we can have more eggs and more chicken)
Lastly, “Mommy I know we’ve talked about this but how long is forever!?” I finally had a somewhat satisfying answer to this one. He wrestles with it a lot! I told him that it means we don’t have to say goodbye because we will have a forever. Somethings end and have nothing further but people can have forevers. Happy with that.
