Turns out I really enjoy Coscto’s dinosaur chicken nuggets. After not buying them for years for my kids because they were well… nuggets, I’m the one eating the most. Great TV food.
Violet is at the get into everything stage- finally! I was starting to wonder. A slow walker- still very deliberately barely taking steps, she finally has found her way into my purse, into the closed ziplock and then is able to so artistically disperse the coupons all over the floor. This is the week that I love it, I’m sure by next week it won’t be so cute and amazing.
I love homeschooling! Zoo trip on Friday- watched our butterflies emerge Saturday- took our reading lesson out to the front drive with colored chalk Monday- making “rag coats” by pasting different fabrics to paper in the shape of a coat coinciding with our Five In A Row story “The Rag Coat” tomorrow. Math and reading going great and it’s all so fun! Anyone not homeschooling due to the reason of wondering if they can do it or will their child learn just give it 6 months and you’ll breathe a sigh of relief.
I love my 3 children and while I can’t imagine going through pregnancy or childbirth I also wonder how I’ll ever stop having kids. I’m limited due to c-sections but seriously (Meredith tone- Grey’s Anatomy). Seriously. While in Vegas alone with my husband I could imagine.
Today I let my boys take their nap with me in my big bed. I’ve NEVER let a child sleep with me but they were due. It was fun watching and listening to them drift off. They sounded like a bunch of bull frogs with their rhythmic slurping thumb sucking noises.
Our church, Current, has began. Website to be up in the near future, but it’s going great, something new from God every week. This week: Provision of 1000.00, total surprise check in the mail thing. He said “it won’t be hard but easy. My burden is easy and light. So anything else is not from Him but a lie and we can just refuse it.” Wow, not what I had been preparing my stance for. I’d been ready to live this hard tough spell of a life but He was right. If I believe the Bible, His burden is light and He’s given this burden so it won’t be some grueling ordeal. So good. He always has good news.
My sister leant me 3 great books- Go Beth- who now has a bird named after her at my Mom’s house. Bethy the bird. Little weird but understandable. If my children were moving 24 hours away to UAE I’d probably have pets named after them. The books are: To See You Again by Betty Schimmel, Blue Like Jazz by Donald Miller and The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency by Alexander McCall Smith. Great taste in books!
